All about the role: In this role you will be reporting to the Maintenance engineer for Electrolux Group.
You will be based in Springfield, TN and this role is onsite. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist/Toolmaker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of precision machines, including CNC, EDM, Lathe, Milling Machine, Band Saw, and Shear. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical thinking, conceptual, and organizational abilities, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineers, production personnel, and other team members.
What you’ll do:
· Independently set up and operate precision machines under limited supervision, including CNC, EDM, Lathe, Milling Machine, Band Saw, and Shear
· Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining or assembly problems
· Craft engineered prototype parts and precision tools such as jigs, molds, and dies
· Utilize computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines, requiring a solid background in various technical and IT processes
· Support lean (EMS/EPS) plan and activities within the maintenance area
· Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair dies/molds
· Maintain continuous efforts to minimize scrap, rework, and control costs of expendables and products
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma required
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
· 5+ years of experience in a Machinist/Toolmaker role
· Proficient in Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Basic knowledge and experience of principles, procedures, work routines, and skills in the related field of work.
